Our residents enjoyed spending Mother’s Day with their families!
“My time at Fountain Circle has been really surprising. I was afraid of the unknown, but everyone has been so good to me. When I first arrived, I didn’t have much of an appetite and now I eat everything except the plate, the food is so good here. The Therapy Department has been wonderful as well, they’ve made me laugh and kept my spirits up through this whole process. Everything has been a pleasant surprise and I would definitely return if I ever needed these services again!”
Upon her departure from Fountain Circle, Shirlene said, “I really have come a long way here. The Therapy staff are excellent. Well, everyone has been excellent and so very good to me. Thank you, all! I’m so excited to be able to go home with my daughter on this day!”
When I asked Irene about her experience at Fountain Circle, she simply stated, “It was excellent!”. She continued to tell me about the individuals who had major roles in her progress and ultimate success. Her Physical Therapist, Elle, and Physical Therapist Assistant, Jeff, knew exactly how to push her just enough, but not too much. With a huge smile across her face, she told me how she refers to Jeff as “Rocky”. Then she spoke of how helpful the Occupational Therapist, Jennifer, had been in preparing her to care for herself. She was grateful for the care she had received from the Weekend RN Supervisor, Geri; the Certified Nursing Assistant, Ashley; and the Registered Nurse, Patricia. As her and her family were leaving, making their way to South Carolina, her husband pulled our Administrator aside and stated that Fountain Circle had exceeded all of their expectations! That sums it up, her time here was simply excellent!
“I am so thankful to everyone here that was involved in my care, you have no idea! When I first arrived at Fountain Circle, I could barely stand much less walk. All the stakeholders, especially Tracy and Elle, part of my therapy team, never let me lose faith in myself. When I thought I couldn’t do it, they were so encouraging in the continuation of accomplishing my goals. I can’t wait for everyone to see what you all and the faith in the Lord have done for me! My daughter’s only request was for me to be able to go to the grocery with her again and now I can, and will. Also, I can now clean my house and cook dinner for my husband, which may not seem like a lot to some people, but it means the world to me. I’m again, so thankful to Fountain Circle for taking such good care of me!”
Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation Center kicked off National Nurses Week with a photo of the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Nursing Management team in their traditional nursing hats.
When asked if Mrs. Akins would recommend Fountain Circle to those in need of skilled services, her response was, “Definitely!” She stated that she was impressed with the food, the staff, and the quietness of the center. “My therapists went above and beyond, this is progress and I had the utmost motivation and praise at every milestone. Fountain Circle Care and Rehabilitation Center really is a great place!”
